About Tara Pilato, M.D.
Dr. Tara Pilato is an assistant Attending Physician of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Pilato is also one of the Emergency Medicine fellows in Global Health, where her focus is health equity and care of displaced persons, in particular refugees and asylum seekers.
After earning degrees in Music Performance and Arts & Letters Pre-Health at the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Pilato graduated from 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Cornell Medical College in 2022. As a medical student, she served as Executive Director for the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Cornell Center for Human Rights. She then completed Emergency Medicine residency in North Philadelphia at Temple University Hospital.
Dr. Pilato is an avid violist and musician, and has continued playing in professional orchestras in addition to her clinical work.
